So the Mango update to Windows Phone 7 has had its grand reveal, and now we're waiting on some handsets to appear running it.
Of course, a good few of them are expected to be coming from Nokia, and the good news is that it appears the company is bang on schedule to meet CEO Stephen Elop's proclaimed goal of getting at least one WinPho handset on the market before the end of the year.
In an interview with Forbes, Nokia's executive vice president of Smart Devices, Jo Harlow, said the signs were looking good for a 2011 launch, and revealed that once the first product does head out the door, it'll be followed by a regular succession in the months to follow.
We should be launching new devices in a rhythm that might be every couple of months, every three months, something like that,” Harlow said. “We’re going to keep coming with new devices in order to have something to talk about.
“I’m quite pleased with our progress,” she added. “Our target is absolutely still this year... and the target looks good.”
