Orange's own-brand phones have proved rather popular down the years, offering smartphone first-timers solid entry-level features at highly affordable prices.
And now we have another new face to add to Orange's budget-busting clan – the QWERTY-keyboard packing Orange Hollywood.
And this one really is at the bottom end of the food chain. Android is nowhere to be found, with Orange having opted to use its own proprietary operating software instead.
It weighs in at just 95g, and features a 2.4in touchscreen atop a full QWERTY keyboard, which means (wait for it) “this feature-packed phone has everything a social networking superstar needs”. Ah, those social networking superstars and their crazy ways...
While on the subject, the Hollywood comes with Facebook and Twitter feeds pre-loaded, while the modest 3.2-megapixel camera should be fine for your social media needs.
3G networking is a bit rich for the Hollywood's blood too – you'll just have to get by on EDGE – but you do at least get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth thrown in.
Orange has yet to confirm price and availability details, but looking at the spec we're probably talking way under £100. Must be music to every social networking superstar's ears.
