Orange has teamed up with Apple to offer a free weekly movie – or film, I should say – via iTunes. The Orange Film To Go service is available to contract and PAYG customers, as well as users of Orange broadband and mobile broadband.
A pre-determined film will be available to download for free each and every Thursday, so long as you’ve applied for your code in the preceding week. The text costs 35p. Bargain.
This week’s film is My Blueberry Nights (er, never heard of it), and next week’s is Darren Aronofsky’s awesome The Wrestler. Sah-weet.
Once downloaded the film will remain available for 30 days, and you have 48 hours to finish watching once it starts playing. You can watch it as many times as you like during that 48 hours.
The scheme is somewhat of an extension of Orange Wednesdays, so customers on the network can now go to the cinema for Jack Ship on Wednesday, and download a film for free on Thursday. Not bad.
