Mobile network Orange is trying to drum up interest in its Windows Phone 7 offerings by serving up a free premium app every day to its WinPho customers for the entire month of July.
The selection of apps will cover everything from games to travel information and sport, and together are worth more than £70.
The offer is open to both new and existing customers, on both prepaid and pay monthly deals. The apps will appear at the top of the Orange Selects folder in the Windows Phone Marketplace each day, and will only be available free of charge on that day before reverting to their normal price again.
‘‘We’ve been working with Microsoft to provide a more enriched app experience for our Windows Phone customers,” said Neil Holroyd, Everything Everywhere's senior multimedia product manager, in a statement on the Orange blog.
“By offering a selection of the most popular apps for free, we hope to continue to enhance our customers’ smartphone experience by allowing them to try something new.’’
