O2 has published its new pay monthly tariffs, all of which include free tethering. That’s assuming you pick one of their three data bolt-ons. None of the tariffs include data as standard.
The prices are summed up in a neat little table (check it out on O2's pay monthly page), however data isn’t factored in. To access the internet on your O2 phone, you’ll have to pick one of the following bolt-ons:
- The Basics - 100MB, £3 a month
- The All Rounder - 500MB, £6 a month
- The Works - 1GB, £10 a month
Those prices aren’t quite so bad when you consider that O2 used to charge £7.65 for tethering.
There are seven different tiers, ranging from 50 minutes and 250 texts to unlimited minutes and texts. The tariffs are available over 18 or 24 months, however existing customers have the option to upgrade with a 12-month contract, which, incidentally, costs the same as an 18-month contract for new customers.
