French site gets in last-minute HTC One picture leak

French site gets in last-minute HTC One picture leakIt’s February 19, man, so if you’re anything like us, the first thought on your mind when you woke up this morning was ‘HTC One launch’. Yeah, that’s how we roll. Pretty cool, like.

We’ve still a few hours to go, but in the meantime, a French site has shared a spanking new HTC One press shot.

While looking fairly legit, and matching what we’ve seen to date, this might be the first time we’ve had a proper glimpse at the rear of the HTC One (rumoured previously as the HTC M7).

We’ve got the camera and flash side-by-side, the HTC logo in the middle, and the obligatory Beats Audio logo at the bottom. Oh, and as before, the HTC One is shown in both blanc and noir (or black and white, to you and me).

Rumoured HTC One specs include a 4.7in 1080p display, quad-core Qualcomm processor, 32GB internal storage (don't get your hopes up for microSD), 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

We’ll have the full story, hopefully including the HTC One price and release date, in just a few hours.

Everybody knows this is merde... HTC launch the Flyer 1.5 today.

Okay, okay... sorry.
But if Samsung launch the SGS IV (that's a "4" for us Caligula fans) on March 14, HTC will lose yet another round, won't they?
Who can beat Touchwiz and eye-movement-tracking cleverness combined with colours that evolution avoided for 5 billion years + ? Me...but who else?

If HTC would launch an all-in 4.3-inch powerhorse that took care of the One X/S's shotcomings (storage, battery and a camera that can rival its own great UI tricks with actually good photos etc) I might give more than half a hoot.

I saw the Sony Z dummy yesterday. It's huge.
Ahem...
Anyway: enjoy.

PS: I noticed that none of the leaked shots show the ONE in profile. Wonder if it has a bump for that rumoured great new camera unit?

If you think nature avoided the colours you don't watch enough nature shows, damn there's some odd creatures out there.

Thought the One X camera was regarded as pretty good..

If they can go razr i style with the bezels maybe they can make 4.7" useable...

The One X camera WAS good. But the photos weren't quite as good as the excellent UI/features...

Stage indicates a camera-centric presentation

JanSt has pretty much nailed it for me.

I too had a look at the Xperia Z and although I love the spec, not sure I will be able to get over the size of the beast. Even if they had rounded off the corners then it might have made it seem a bit smaller like the S3 or N4.

HTC could live or die by this phone and for me, they will live or die by whether it has a micro-SD on it. If not then why would I want to get this and not a N4 for half the price.

No micro-sd, morpheus.
And I sincerely doubt they can sell the 4MP camera tech to end-users via under-motivated store staff... No matter how good the pictures are... phone store staff will get brainfreeze trying to sell a "4MP UltraPixel" cam over a 13MP Xperia cam...

Not even sure they can sell the concept to me tbh.
