If the latest whispers are on the money, the iPhone 6 launch could go down as early as four weeks from tomorrow – that’s September 9, 2014, for calendar fans.
As such, we can fully expect a deluge of iPhone 6 picture leaks in the coming weeks, and ho! That’s exactly what we’re seeing above.
From the Far East, we’re seeing the still-technically-unofficial iPhone 6 in black and white, comprised of a display, glass cover, mounting structures and flex cables.
The iPhone 6 looks pretty much as expected, so it’s slightly bigger than the existing iPhones (we’re supposedly looking at a 4.7in model, incidentally, as opposed to the larger 5.5in chap), with slimmer bezels and the now-familiar Touch ID fingerprint scanner beneath the display.
The colours come as little surprise either, Apple having offered the iPhone in black and white for years now. What’s not clear is if the iPhone 6 will be offered in gold - or indeed any other colour.
And that’s about all we can garner from this particular iPhone 6 leak. Interestingly, there’s no mention of sapphire crystal – or the lack thereof. Rumours suggest it might be only the 5.5in iPhone 6 that takes advantage of the toughened display, though it’s still anyone’s guess at this stage.
