The Apple Watch was shown off alongside the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September, but there’s no shortage of questions surrounding the Californians’ first wearable, particularly as pertains to price.
One anonymous source reckons gold Apple Watch price could come in as high as $5,000 – that’s £3,150 to you and me. Wow.
Back in September, Cook & Co mumbled something about Apple Watch price starting at $350 for the basic model, but a source of French-language site iGen.fr (Google Translation relayed by 9to5mac) seems to think it’ll be closer to $500.
Meanwhile, the 18-carat Yellow or Rose Gold Apple Watch Edition will come in at between $4,000 and $5,000. That’s roughly £2,500 to £3,150 in our money, but inevitably it'll cost way higher than that with the taxes and the general expensiveness (yeah, that's a word) of stuff in the UK.
To be fair, Apple Watch price has been rumoured to hit the $10,000 mark, so perhaps this $5,000 guesstimate will come as a relief to some. Some with more money than sense.
As for the Apple Watch release date, the same source reckons you’ll be able to buy the wearable come Valentine’s Day next year, which gives cyber-romantics just over three months to save up.
In the meantime, head over to Wareable for all the wearable tech wordage you could possibly need – and then some.
