What's a good data-only deal for iPads?

Which network gives the best value for data on an iPad?

i buy the 3gb sims for three off amazon and trim it down. 3months of data for around £12 right now. not bad if you ask me.

It's getting more expensive. I used to buy them @ 7 a pop.

Does it just stop working after 3 months? How do you remind yourself to get a new one... just make a note to buy one then?

It expires after 3 month after you use it for first time. You just have to remember.
Alternatively you can buy internet addon for 5 quid which gives you 2GB for a month. This is what I do, but I don't know if this option is available to everyone as it does not show up and you have to look for it on three website. (Has to be done from laptop/tab with SIM card inside).

I reckon it is best with T-Mobile's 6 months unlimited* internet for £20. You need a PAYG SIM £10 cost in store with a £10 top up ie free) and top up £11 just in case. Then text the code (something like 20FREEWEB or something - may be best to Google it) from any other handset - and it will text bck saying it has been updated.

You'll have to cut down your T-Mobile SIM card to fit the iPad, best trick is to get an existing micro SIM and use it as a template. I did it in a Starbucks with a pair of scissors, not rocket science.

Then get a micro-SIM to SIM convertor (I found one on dealextreme.com for less than £1 delivered) so that when 6 months elapses, you can pop it in that, pop it back in a handset, add £20 to the SIM and follow the trick all over again.

Hope this helps!

Does T-Mobile caps you at some limit with their unlimited 6 month?
