Is this a good deal?

I want to move off PAYG as T-Mobile has become extremely expensive but I don't know so much about contracts, I was just wondering if this is a good deal (if I sell the phone for around £300)?

I know it doesn't have many mins but I don't use/want them.

Neither have I, which is sorta my point :p.

tbh. if you dont want the phone you can do alot better... realistically 250 for the phone...

504 for the contract minus 30.30 tcb meaning 223.70 for 2 years? thats not brill (hell at 300 thats still 173.70)

tbh call t-mobile say your leaving for a sim only deal and push for a cheap deal.

I have done, the best they offered me was 300 mins, Unltd (5000) texts and 250mb of data for £10.50 a month on a 12 month contract (over the phone so no Quidco/TCB), I told them I'd have my PAC Code. So now I have a PAC code but nowhere to use it and no phone plan at the moment :(.

Treab  Mar. 18, 2012 at 22:34

when did you get your pac bro?

Treab  Mar. 18, 2012 at 22:37

any idea what you need?

matt101101 / MOD  Mar. 18, 2012 at 22:49

Got the PAC on Friday evening, I haven't moved the number to a new network yet so my T-Mobile PAYG SIM is still working just fine.

I need at least 100mins (more is fine but not necessary), Unlimited texts (minimum of 3000) and as much data as possible (preferably 750mb+).

i would say wait till tuesday before moving... chances are they will call back before then...

I've looked at that thing on HUKD that's got the most heat ever...weirdly none of it quite fits what I want. I looked at 3 but I just can't be doing without a 2G backup (and not being able to use my 2G reserve phone).

The only other network that gets a 3G signal where I live and work is T-Mob (so I could force an Orange phone to use a T-Mob signal, I suppose).

Treab  Mar. 18, 2012 at 23:42

do you want to keep your number?

matt101101 / MOD  Mar. 18, 2012 at 23:43

Preferably, why?

Treab  Mar. 18, 2012 at 23:45

could get a sim with someone like 3... transfer your number then get a cheap t-mobile sim?

matt101101 / MOD  Mar. 18, 2012 at 23:46

I don't get what you mean (I feel thick...)?

http://phone-shop.tesco.com/tesco-mobile/sims/

250 mins, 5000 texts, 1 GB internet, £10/ month, clubcard points, job done.

Treab  Mar. 18, 2012 at 23:59

might be able to get a cheap t-mobile sim that way with topcashback if t-mobile screw you over?

If only I got more than 2 bars of 2G O2 signal at work :(.

Treab  Mar. 19, 2012 at 00:06

is t-mobile the best for you?

Treab  Mar. 19, 2012 at 00:08

tbh your best bet is orange... set it to the t-mobile/orange network like i have and you should be good to go.

matt101101 / MOD  Mar. 19, 2012 at 00:08

Yes, 3's signal is just as good where I live/work but I just don't trust pure 3G to sign up for a year.

T-mobile are definitely best for me (not that I'd ever tell them that :p).

matt101101 / MOD  Mar. 19, 2012 at 00:09

But Orange only offer 500mb of data (unless you pay loads) and they charge if you go over that 500mb (unlike T-mobile).

Treab  Mar. 19, 2012 at 00:13

then hold off till tuesday,,, chances are redemptions will call you...

or go back to them with a deal you found and see if they will match it,

matt101101 / MOD  Mar. 19, 2012 at 00:31

I'll definitely wait until Tuesday, then I think I'll evaluate 3 on PAYG for a month if T-mobile are still being useless. If I'm happy with three after the month I'll take out a SIM only contract with them, if I'm not happy with them I'll look again at what deals are available (I'll just take my number wherever I go as providing a PAC upon request is a legal requirement of every network).

CTPAHHIK  Mar. 20, 2012 at 08:00

Go with 3 on pay monthly (1 month). I did not have any problems with them terminating contracts - stops on the day you use your PAC code.
Keep waiting for Orange/T-Mobile or Vodafone deal. Worse comes to worst you are a new customer as far as T-M is concerned.
