Google boss Schmidt says Android lawsuits are about jealousy

Google boss Schmidt says Android lawsuits are about jealousyGoogle chairman Eric Schmidt says the growing stack of lawsuits against his company proves that the opposition are jealous of how successful Android has become.

Schmidt believes that Google and its Android partners are innocent of any wrongdoing and haven't infringed on any patents, and he promised the company would back HTC in its current legal fight against Apple.

Mr Schmidt said at the Google Mobile Revolution conference in Tokyo: “the big news in the past year has been the explosion of Google Android handsets and this means our competitors are responding... they are not responding with innovation they are responding with lawsuits.”

“We have not done anything wrong, and these lawsuits are just inspired by our success.”

According to ZDNet Schmidt said “we will make sure they don't lose, then” when he was asked about HTC's prospects in the current battle with Apple.

Blah blah, blah...
Google is not responding to legal threats with logic, but with hot air.

Don't believe that because there are some good Android phones, Google are the good guys.
