Nexus phones generally do a pretty decent job of remaining shrouded in mystery prior to launch, and you can certainly forget about Google giving any hints about future devices.
But wait! What’s this? Google's Senior VP of Engineering, Vic Gundotra, says we should brace for camera-based awesomeness.
A Google fan asked: “i hope that someday we will just carry our future Nexus and we won't worry about any heavy camera :) is that possible +Vic Gundotra any way thank you for all the efforts you have already done”.
To which Vic replied: “We are committed to making Nexus phones insanely great cameras. Just you wait and see.” So there you have it. Consider yourself warned.
At present, top contender for Nexus action is the Motorola-built X-Phone. It’s still not entirely clear if it’ll carry the Nexus moniker, but it’ll certainly be a joint Google/Motorola effort.
For tons of juicy Google action, probably including the X-Phone and Key Lime Pie, and maybe even “insanely great cameras”, set your time machines for May 15, when Google I/O opens its doors.
