I’m rather fond of the great city of Barcelona, having lived there for a while during my travels. Also, it’s home to one of the biggest annual mobile tech events, namely Mobile World Congress.
As such, a recent update on the Official Google Mobile Blog brought a smile to my face. The search engine giant has introduced 3D-ness to an additional 18 cities in its Maps app for Android, including – yes – Barcelona. Sah-weet.
As well as Barcelona, you can enjoy 3D mappage of London, Paris, Stockholm, Singapore, Lisbon, Boulder, and 11 cities in South Africa. They join cities such as New York, Zurich and Milan.
You don’t need to update the app. Just pop in the name of the city and you’re good to go.
As always, you can zoom in and out by pinching; jab two fingers on the screen and move them up and down to tilt. It looks prettaaaaay pretty good.
