Google Nexus 5 specs confirmed in leaked manual

Google Nexus 5 specs confirmed in leaked manualHow many ways can a smartphone be leaked before launch? Well, it might be left charging in a bar, or spotted over at the Federal Communications Commission not once but twice, or you could just “accidentally” leak it yourself.

The latest leak comes in the form of images purportedly from the official manual, confirming previously rumoured Google Nexus 5 specs and throwing a few other gems into the equation for good measure.

The Google Nexus 5 manual is – or was – relayed by the folks at Android Police, though the images have since been “taken down at LG's request” – which means we were probably looking at the real deal.

According to the manual, Google Nexus 5 specs will include a 4.95in 1080p display (tad smaller than the LG G2), a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, and a 2,300mAh battery.

Interestingly, Google Nexus 5 storage will supposedly weigh in at 16 or 32GB, which comes as a relief since there won’t be a microSD slot (in keeping with recent Nexus tradition).

Other outed Google Nexus 5 specs include wireless charging (meh) and Near Field Communication (double meh).

The Google Nexus 5 is expected to launch on October 14 alongside KitKat Android 4.4, and there are suggestions that it’ll cost around half the price of the iPhone 5S. That’d be lovely.

We don't really know if they took it down because LG asked them to OR because it was bull, right? ;)

Anyhoo, there'd have to be something more interesting than the listed specs?!

No microSD slot = no buy
