Yes, IMO. But it's likely to be replaced at Google IO in May, so you might want to hold off buying one just yet.

Agree with Matt.
Of course, for many users who just want to surf on the go, watch a panda sneeze on Youtube and play 5 minutes of Angry Birds, any budget tab will do. But as per your question: YES!

Wow, wow, wow...we'll have less of that ;)!!

Also, although any budget tab will do basic things, the Nexus is pretty cheap and does them really well, might as well enjoy your user experience if you're going to part with your cash. That's my view on buying stuff anyway. Even if you don't want the Nexus 7-2 (I'm sure it'll have a better name than that haha) its launch will push the price of the original N7 down, hopefully :).
