Last time I scribbled about Google Play Games, essentially Android’s answer to Game Center, I was detailing the Google Play Services 4.1 update, which introduced turn-based multiplayer for 2-8 players.
This week we’re seeing Google Play Games leap from version 1.1 to 1.5, with a handful or, er, exciting features.
As detailed over on Android Police, Google Play Games 1.5 introduces – among other things – the ability to view multiplayer invites.
A further Google Play Games 1.5 feature lets you see what people from your “circles” are playing.
Hold onto your hats here, as a third Google Play Games 1.5 feature, Find Games, lets you “Search for something fun to play”.
And if all that wasn’t enough, how about the ability to use pull-to-refresh in the app’s leaderboard?
THE FUTURE IS NOW. Or at least it’s whenever Google decides to roll out the Play Games 1.5 update.
If you’re the impatient type, by all means head over to Android Police, where they have a link for the APK. Of course you'll have to allow apps from non-Google Play sources; proceed at your own risk, blah blah blah.
