Google Play Store ratings & reviews

Was just going to review an app and find I can't without joining Google+ first???
Is that right or am I missing something???
As a paying customer I cannot give feedback because I'm not using an utterly unrelated service? Well LOL & wtf hahaha...
That is insane!
Who puts up with that bullsh*t???

Not the point.
Google+ has nothing to do with me and a fr*ggin' malfunctioning HTC app. It has nothing to do with a
video player that I PAID for!
They had to backtrack on their Youtube policy where it was about free stuff that Google provided. But I cannot rate a non-Google product because I don't join their PRISMb*tch chitter chatter?

It's not right.
Of course I could just sheeple up and join and not use it... but what would that achieve?

PS no offence, universe. Appreciate your reply.
But I find all those virtual sellers get away with awful practices, and eventually that will create a collective attitude that will enable sellers of real, necessary stuff to get away with unethical practices, too.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was true. Google don't seem to get the message that no-one uses G+ and no-one cares about it. However, this doesn't seem to stop them trying to ram it down your throat when you want to use various other Google services.

I know it's not a great solution, but if I was you I'd sign up and never use it or add anything to your profile and set all the security to maximum so that, for all practical purposes, the account doesn't exist.

Ugh, just another way for Google to get users using its social network. I'll never forgive them for forcing YouTube account holders to have a Google+ account, at least for those that want to actually use their account. When are they going to realise that no one uses or wants Google+?

I post stuff on Google+ via a third party app that posts to all my social networks, but I never login and access my Google+ page or care what's on there to be honest.
