Is that a system app or a Play Store app? If it's a Play Store app try reinstalling it, if it's a system app I'll look into it for you.

Yes, bazza.... Google Search, WHERE? Browser? PlayStore? Search?

Do you mean the Google mobile page that is the default homepage of the stock internet browser on Android devices?
Do you have INTERNET access? The software update could have wiped your mobile access point settings. (APN). Do you have wifi? Can you visit websites other than "google search"? Etc etc...

You see, an answer to your question requires more info - OAP, or not ;)

If your telly no longer has BBC after a black-out, we'd ask: do you get any other channels; do you use an analogue aerial or digital, or sky etc etc... ;)

I take your point...well I can access my hotmail, you tube, the Sky apps etc, even google earth, its just when I use the google search, I have just noticed that for a second it says "unfortunately webnwalk has stopped working?"

Sorry, I'm not in the UK - webnealk is a tariff, right? Sounds like the apps you use successfully use a different APN. Check in Settings -> Mobile Data -> APN settings which APN is ticked

And try another browser...
Also: have you tried a reboot? After a firmware update that can tidy up the mess

Thank you folks for your input,
Don't think I've explained very well...I can get the google search bar up with past searches showing on the drop down menu, but after clicking go, screen goes white for a few secs then black, google disappears then the homescreen comes on with no search results, it happens on 3g and wifi with excellent signals, as said previously sky+, sports, go, you tube etc work fine, its driving me nuts........

Go to Settings => Apps => all apps. Find Google search and clear cache and all data. . Then reboot. See what happens.
