GTA San Andreas lands on App Store, coming to Android and Windows Phone ‘next week’Just a quick heads-up in case you missed the informal ramblings of Jan and I this time yesterday…

YOU CAN NOW PLAY GRAND THEFT AUTO SAN ANDREAS ON THE TOILET! Or on a train, or a plane, or while driving your favourite automobile! Er, if you have a compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. (I’m intentionally overlooking laptops here; don’t spoil my fun).

As promised by Rockstar just a couple of weeks ago, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas has touched down for mobile.

Specifically, it’s available from the App Store, with the Android and Windows Phone launches going down “next week” (according to Engadget; Rockstar Newswire merely says “coming soon”).

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas hardware requirements are understandably demanding; you’ll need an iPhone 4S, fifth-gen iPod touch, iPad 2 or above, running iOS 4.3 or later.

You’ll also need 1.63GB of free space (probably more than that for the initial installation) and a spare £4.99.

I won’t go into too much detail here, since I’m planning on penning a full review tomorrow, but I’ve put in a good few hours already, and it’s prettaaaaay good. You should go buy it. Yep.

Originally released in 2004, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas sees Carl "CJ" Johnson return home to Grove Street to get to the bottom of his mom's murder, with a little help from his homies, know wha'm sayin'?
