What happened to the Pre 3?

What happened to the Pre 3? Was it ever released in the UK?

No, the Pre 3 was never supported by any UK network. You could buy them sim-free here and there. You want one? http://www.adverts.ie/mobile-phones/hp-pre-3-8gb/1201317 <= I bought mine of him...

Yep, it launched during the TouchPad firesale, if I remember correctly (talking of which, that was a year ago now!). It's actually a decent phone, just lacks apps due to a predictable lack of developers for WebOS.

Yes, and NO... It has few apps, but most bases are covered. The apps that do exist are VERY polished. Almost iOS-style... webOS has probably the best Twitter apps there are. Even some great games (not blockbuster console style games, but very stylish puzzlers, etc).
What it LACKS: good office apps - PDF is pathetic, as is doc editing. If those are a must, do not touch webOS...

The Pre 3 itself is excellent. Good build quality (the sim-card holder aside...grrrrr), lovely screem, REAL multitasking without any slowdown even when you run 20 apps simultaneously.
Excellent email client.
