Apparently I'm an Apple-hater without any respect for the jailbreak community.
Martin spotted a Motorola with an 8GB (!!!) camera, Lewis is playing games, Pondlife is out-cynicking me, and matt is his lawyerly self. Treab, you ask?

Pondlife  Jan. 21, 2014 at 01:26

I like the nexus 4 the 2nd time around...

AhmadCentral  Jan. 21, 2014 at 16:25

What's up?

Petrol prices...

They're the lowest they've been for ages 'round here; 126.9p per litre, to be precise.

AhmadCentral  Jan. 23, 2014 at 00:26

Oh..... um.... in that case I will say that the sky is up....

Still seems funny when you consider the protests and rage at it going above the £1 mark

AhmadCentral  Jan. 23, 2014 at 14:36

I remember the good old days when petrol (per litre) cost the same as a can of coke.

Pondlife  Jan. 23, 2014 at 14:44

Still cheaper than some overpriced soft drinks per litre let alone fruit juices. Which is remarkable really.
Wonder if it's the same price as the coke if you take all the taxes off each

Incoming rant:

Personally, I don't really have a problem with the price of petrol, sure, if it was cheaper I wouldn't complain, but it's not like it's so expensive that running a car is a massive issue (as long as you have an average income).

If people care about the cost of driving so much, why do I see so many stupid "crossover" SUVs around these days? They're just jumped up, more expensive, less economical hatchbacks. Very few of them ever go off-road, hell, lots of them are actually FWD nowadays, making them even more pointless! A Fiesta or a Focus (depending on size) will do the exact same job, just as safely, for a lot less money (both initial outlay and running costs). Not to mention the fact the Fiesta and the Focus are both leagues above and crossover/SUV I can think of in terms of driving dynamics.

I'll be the first to admit that my car is far from sensible, but I don't complain about the cost of running it. Driving is a luxury and I enjoy it, for that I'm more than willing to pay what is necessary.

That's not very ranty. Have you learned nothing from watching Jan?

I don't have the time for a full-on Jan rant, unfortunately.
