What the hell’s the Motorola Droid RAZRMAX?

What the hell’s the Motorola Droid RAZRMAX?The Motorola RAZR – or Droid RAZR, if you’re a Yank – touched down last month, and was generally quite positively received. Well, other than a few gripes about the PenTile display and the obligatory moans about battery life.

Motorola has gone into overdrive with its production of late (Atrix 2, RAZR, Droid Bionic, Defy+, Xoom 2, Xoom 2 Media Edition…), and now there’s word of a new beast called the Motorola Droid RAZRMAX.

Pocketnow has gotten its hands on a few exclusive snaps of the Motorola Droid RAZRMAX, but it’s not entirely clear what’s different about this spanking new RAZR variant.

The Motorola RAZR was, very briefly, the world’s thinnest smartphone, and there are suggestions that the Motorola Droid RAZRMAX could be slightly thicker in order to encompass a bigger battery.

That theory ties in with a forum post by some random guy, who was told by a Verizon employee that a thicker Motorola Droid RAZR with a bigger battery would be coming soon. Salt?

Or might the Motorola Droid RAZRMAX have a higher definition display? Heck, it’s anyone’s guess at this stage.

In any case, we won’t hold our breath for the Motorola Droid RAZRMAX on these shores.

It'll probably come with a higher resolution display. Because if they want to keep the RAZR name then it has to be thin no matter what.

A lot of people – a huge amount of people – spent a lot of money to buy the RAZR in the past month. Are they going to be screwed by the release of this phone? I don’t think there’s any freakin’ way Verizon is going to give them an option to trade up, do you? :p

What would make really great sense (sorry HTC) would be for this new variation to have not only a larger battery but a replaceable larger battery and even an extend battery and cover so that the phone would be more solid and take away the hideous camera “hump.” I would buy such a phone even if it weighs a little more. I have held the RAZR and it is too thin for my preferences.

What do you think? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!

I'm willing to do away with camera all together to keep it thin and avoid a bump.
