What the hell’s the Nokia Sun?

What the hell’s the Nokia Sun?A new Nokia Windows Phone Mango handset has popped up on an Orange France release list.

It’s called the Nokia Sun, and while this is the first time we’ve heard of this particular chap, he might actually be one of three Finnish WP7 handsets recently leaked, just under a different name. Maybe.

The Nokia Sun, as Orange France calls it, runs Mango, with a 1.4GHz processor, 8MP camera, 3.7in display and 16GB storage.

Those details tie up exactly with the recently leaked Nokia Sea Ray specs. At that time, we also heard about the Nokia Sabre (essentially the Sea Ray with a 5MP camera and 8GB storage) and the Nokia Ace (a 4.3in Sea Ray).

However, some rumours suggest the Nokia Sea Ray might in fact have a 3.9in display, same as its MeeGo-running cousin – the Nokia N9.

Phew, in any case, that’s a lot of Nokia to digest. We’re hoping to get some official juice from the Finns at Nokia World, which gets underway on October 26.

The sun is powered by Windows? Is that why we have the blue sky of death?
