Help! My Samsung Galaxy S3 fell into the toilet today When I pulled it out the light was still flashing so I pressed the middle button then the power button for about a second and realised it was dead. I've hoovered it to suck the water out and put it in rice. What chance do I have of it being alive tomorrow? I love that phone and couldn't afford a new one

I hope you took out the battery and put that in rice as well. Ditto, the sim, SD-card etc... leave the battery cover off.
But to be honest: since it was already 'dead' when you fished it out, your chances are NOT improving. Corrosion takes time, and generally speaking, water damage gets progressively worse, not better... But you never know... it could be fine(-ish)... leave it in the rice for at least 3 days.
