Is home broadband (WiFi) free on my phone?

Can I use my own home broadband for free on my phone?

JanSt: Sorry for my lack of knowledge in this area and to sound thick, but how how can I know when my phone swithces to 3g, and how do I know when my phone connects/discconects from the WIFI?

Also, can anyone explain how I can use my broadband WIFI on my mobile which will then enable me to make Skype-to-Skype calls to a different country compltely free of charge?

Many thanks in advance,

Not knowing what phone you have: be careful: some phones switch to 3g WHEN THE WIFI disconnects or the phone goes to 'sleep'! Just keep an eye on it when you first try it out ;)

I've turned off my mobile data for that reason. I'm usually around wifi, and I only turn on the mobile data if I need to look up something specific when I am away from the wifi :)
