We'd kind of forgotten about the HP Pre3, but the plucky little fella has given us a gentle tap on the shoulder to remind us of its presence, and is now available to pre-order ahead of a July 8 launch.
That's what Play.com is telling us anyway, with the Pre3 having been priced at £349.99 ahead of its grand arrival.
The Pre3 was first announced back in February, and attracted plenty of attention – as much for its webOS operating system as for its juicy specification.
HP inherited webOS when it bought out Palm a year ago, and the Pre3 is the first fully realised product of that union, falling fully under the HP name and with an all-new version of webOS running on board.
With its 3.58in WVGA display and beefy 1.4GHz processor, the Pre3 certainly looks the business, but four months after its announcement we're still waiting for the handset to appear in the wild.
According to Play, however, that wait will soon be over and the Pre3 will be heading out the door in just three weeks' time.
Of course, we've become used to online retailers making calculated guesses as to when upcoming handsets will be released, only to be proven patently wrong when the day in question comes and goes without the new model appearing.
Here's hoping Play has its facts straight this time.
