HTC One 2014 revealed in official press images

HTC One 2014 revealed in official press imagesThe HTC One 2014 leaks are coming so thick and fast you'd be forgiven for thinking it was launching in a couple of days rather than the end of next month.

Yet just one day after that March 25 launch date was announced we have yet another new image of the One mark II, and this time it's an official press render... in gold.

Previous image leaks had already revealed the presence of a dual-camera setup around the back as well as the lack of either physical or capacitive buttons up front.

So seeing those present and correct on the @evleaks-leaked press shots comes as no surprise. Neither does the new One's overall attractiveness. After all, the original HTC One was hands down one of the very best looking smartphones to emerge last year, so HTC would be insane not to stick with a visual formula that clearly works.

Interestingly, the dual-flash around the back is also dual-colour, so clearly HTC is planning once again to take a road less travelled on the mobile photography front, as it did last year with the One's Ultrapixel snapper (set to be retained on the 2014 version).

The only other new bit of information we can take from the pics is confirmation that the HTC One 2014 will definitely be coming in gold. That's entirely fine by us, though if your own tastes are a little more conservative, @evleaks has kindly furnished another press render of the new HTC One dressed in a more understated black.

Good looking phone. I'm not really getting the 2 cameras though... Sure my Evo 3D had 2, (they were required for the whole rubbish 3d thing).

Is one going to be of the ultra pixel variety and the other a higher megapixel type affair, 13 or 16 maybe?

one for dirty nightvision, maybe?
