HTC 603e pops up in China, some sort of One SU successor/variant?While HTC has mostly stuck to its “less is more” plan in the UK, there have been countless regional variants keeping us on our journalistic toes.

The latest is something called the HTC 603e, which looks set for release in China, at least. Remember the HTC One SU? Sure you do. Well, the HTC 603e is a bit like that.

In fact, looking at the spec sheets, the HTC 603e is very much like the HTC One SU, so much so that you’d be forgiven for wondering: ‘What’s the point, HTC?’

The HTC One SU has a 4.3in display (480 x 800), 4GB storage (with microSD), 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording, and dual-core processor.

While physically quite different, the main discrepancy is the HTC 603e having a 2MP front camera. Amazing.

It’s not clear at this stage if the HTC 603e will have dual-SIM capabilities (like the HTC One SU), but we’d bet good money on it. Stick us down for a fiver.

Finally, the HTC 603e will come in black, white, green and yellow.

Of course, we have the HTC M7 launch scheduled for February, and it's expected to be followed by the HTC M4 and G2. Incidentally, the HTC 603e sits somewhere between the HTC M4 and G2. Couldn’t make this sh*t up.
