HTC announces yet another Android phone; meet the Rezound

HTC announces yet another Android phone; meet the RezoundWe were fully expecting the HTC Vigor to make its long-awaited debut this week, and it finally has, with an all-new rap artist-style name. Wicked.

The HTC Rezound, as it’s now known, packs some pretty impressive specs, but don’t get too excited just yet. It’ll probably be US-only, guv’nor.

Those impressive specs I alluded to include a 4.3in 720p display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, an 8MP camera with 1080p video capture, and a 1,620mAh battery. Porn for phone lovers, basically.

Like the HTC Sensation XE and HTC Sensation XL, the HTC Rezound is a Beats Audio affair, so it’ll come bundled with a pair of customised headphones.

In OS city, Gingerbread (Android 2.3.4) will initially take the reins as mayor, however HTC is expected to appoint Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) in due course.

Alas, as the HTC Rezound is a 4G beast bound for Verizon in the US, there’s next to no chance of seeing the high-specced chap in the United Kingdoms. Bah.

Verizon will offer the HTC Rezound in the US from November 14.
