I approved that?
When was that? Well, it feels like a solid phone. And it has a nice big clock :p

Ah, sorry... the One S!!! Yes, I do like it. For some reason I was thinking "Desire S" earlier :D

Ahh, the good old Desire S, the phone which had precisely no advantages over the original (by then far cheaper) Desire...

yes, that was one pointless 'update'!

Don't think even Htc would've tried to sell Desire S for £449 initially...

I wasn't really reading that post :p
Also, here in Eire the Desire S was €430 or thereabouts LOL

Well that still about £100 less...
But damn they get optimistic over there.

The Lumia 900 is still €499 prepay (sim-locked) at Vodafone Ireland hahaha

Got to love em. Or lock them up for insanity maybe....

Anyway decent price I guess for One S, be more tempted to go for the Galaxy S2 for £40-50 less though

JanSt / MOD  Jan. 9, 2013 at 16:40

I preferred the One S - although: the S2 has better battery life, and is easier to root; more ROMs etc...

The one S is a bit of an unsung hero. Great phone & battery life. Even makes Sense make sense.

S2's a more well rounded device, all the One S has going for it over the S2 is the CPU (and lets face it, the S2 is hardly lacking in that department itself).

Sense hasn't made sense since Android 2.2 :p.

Hahaha... yes, it was the first device with Sense with sense since the HD2
