We’ve been told not to expect any more HTC One devices this year, but you’ve still got room in your pocket for a couple of new Desires, right?
Yep, we’re hearing that HTC is about to add two new models to its painfully swollen Desire series, specifically the Desire P and Desire Q.
At this stage, not a heck of a lot is known about the HTC Desire P and Desire Q, other than the model numbers (T326h and T328h respectively).
It’s been quite the fall from grace for the Desire series, and we hate to see its name dragged through the mud.
Back in 2010, the original HTC Desire was the manufacturer’s flagship, and was one of the first big Android phones. Indeed, it was largely regarded as better than the first Samsung Galaxy S, which launched around the same time.
Heck, I remember a fair few people touting the HTC Desire as “better than the iPhone”.
We also had the HTC Desire Z, a popular QWERTY-rockin’ variant. We’re still hoping against hope for a souped-up HTC One Z.
And not forgetting my trusty old HTC Desire HD, which served me well for a good 18 months or so.
However, nowadays, the good HTC Desire name is synonymous with uninspiring budget models like the Desire C (pictured), with rivals like Huawei and ZTE invariably offering better value for money at the low end.
