How much better is the HTC Desire S than the original HTC Desire?

Is the HTC Desire S really all that different from the original HTC Desire? It’s way more expensive!

The HTC Desire S has arguably a better build quality. Front camera for video calls, a better GPU, and more storage in the phone's memory.
But I don't know - I guess if you can get the old Desire at a significantly better price, you may as well go for it.

It's also got more RAM, roughly 30% better battery life, it's smaller in every dimension, lighter, has DLNA, comes with Android 2.3 with the new notification bar and HTC Locations (i.e. offline version of Google Maps), 802.11n and improved 3G speeds.

So yeah, with the deals I've seen for the Desire S, it's a great mid-range phone at low-end prices.

It'll be worth it in the long-run. Enjoy!
