HTC DLX specs touted on twitter

HTC DLX specs touted on twitterA series of cheeky leaks well and truly ruined most of the recent major product launches, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and iPhone 5. We knew almost exactly what to expect long before the official announcements.

It’s refreshing then to see the rumour mill struggling to get to grips with the next generation of super-smartphones. I’m thinking in particular of the supposed LG Optimus Nexus and the HTC-built Google Nexus 5.

While the former has seemingly been debunked (as a Nexus phone), rumours for the latter persist. Here we’re calling it the HTC DLX (also referred to as the HTC X 5, phew).

We’re looking at a tweet from Football, who tweeted fairly accurate specs for the HTC 8X (as the HTC Accord) back in August.

Football reckons HTC DLX specs include a 5in HD display, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 12MP camera on the rear, and 2MP front-side.

Other HTC DLX specs are tipped to include a non-removable 2,500mAh battery, and Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

No word on an HTC DLX release date just yet, never mind price. Does it even exist? Who knows?
