HTC not sure what happened to Titan

HTC not sure what happened to TitanI’ll finish my news output for today with some light comedy.

Remember a couple of days ago we were saying that the HTC Titan had mysteriously vanished from a number of online retailers? Well, we asked HTC if it’d care to comment, and, uhm, here’s what it had to say.

Having asked if the 4.7in HTC Titan had been officially withdrawn for some reason, HTC’s Ian replied: “Thank you for contacting HTC regarding your enquiry about the HTC Titan. I understand you would like to know if this has been withdrawn in the UK.”

Here comes the good bit: “Please accept my apologies I do not know this information. I would advise you to contact a retailer as all the agreements are made with them.” Huh?

Ian concludes: "I hope that this information meets with your requirements." Well, to be honest, I was hoping for something a little meatier after a 28-hour wait and being told that my request had been “forwarded to the appropriate department”.

Ah well. You can still grab the Windows Phone Mango-rockin’ HTC Titan from the likes of Expansys and Amazon, where it goes for around £350 SIM free.
