Twitter-based leak machine @upleaks has been jawing about the HTC Hima (don’t call it the One M9) for the past week or so, declaring it HTC’s next flagship and predicting that it’ll arrive in March – after Mobile World Congress (MWC).
Interestingly, if these HTC Hima specs are on the money, the Taiwanese look set to deliver a phone that’s roughly the same size as the One M8, and actually a little bit thicker.
Prior to this leak, you’d have been forgiven for thinking the HTC Hima would have a larger display (5.5in is all the rage) and thinner body than the One M8, but nope. Not the case.
Mr upleaks says HTC Hima dimensions will be 144.3 x 69.4 x 9.56 mm. Compared to the One M8 (146.36 x 70.6 x 9.35mm), the HTC Hima is a little shorter and narrower, and a tiny pinch thicker.
That suggests the HTC Hima will have front stereo speakers like the One M8, and indeed upleaks says we’re looking at a 5in 1080p display – same size and resolution (no QHD?) as the One M8.
Further HTC Hima specs include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 20.7MP rear camera (no mention of Duo technology – or the lack thereof), 13MP or 4MP UltraPixel front camera (we thought HTC was done with UltraPixels), Android Lollipop 5.0, HTC Sense 7.0, and a 2,840mAh battery. So essentially it’s a supped-up One M8.
Finally, HTC Hima colours will include, we're told, Gray, Silver, Gold and Gunmetal Gold.
Again, the HTC Hima launch is supposedly pencilled in for sometime shortly after MWC 2015 in March. Fancy it?
