HTC One X vs HTC One S

Are the HTC One X and One S the same other than the a) size, and b) processor?

Probably the most crucial difference for some people will be the One S is fixed to 16 GBs and the One X is fixed to 32 GBs (both get 25 GBs DropBox for two years though).

A slight difference is the One S has a Super AMOLED screen, whereas the One X has an IPS screen. The difference from reports say in terms of quality, i.e. colour reproduction, viewing angles etc. they're pretty identical. The One S has a slight advantage on black levels but now we're really nitpicking.

Pretty much everything else apart from the aforementioned size and processor are the same.

HTC One X is NFC ready, HTC One S isn't.. One other difference with the black HTC One S is that its case has undergone micro arc oxidation which means it is tougher apparently than the HTC One X. Apparently scratch proof as well and the same process used on space shuttles, most impressive! Most hands on reviews online have stated how fantastic the screen is on the HTC One X, it has 312 PPI density(pixels per inch). The One S on the other hand, has 256 ppi. which is no slouch but seemingly not as sharp as the One X.
