HTC One X and One S landing at Phones 4u April 5

HTC One X and One S landing at Phones 4u April 5Thanks to O2, Amazon and Phones 4u, we’ve established that the HTC One X release date will be April 5. And heck, don’t forget the dual-core HTC One S. It looks pretty good too.

Both the HTC One X and One S are available to pre-order now at Phones 4u, and doing so will land you a lovely free gift worth £80.

Phones 4u is offering a free HTC MediaLink on all HTC One X and One S tariffs. It allows you to stream content to your HDMI-compatible TV, while using the phone’s display for whatever else you fancy.

You can grab the HTC One X for free from £36PM, or the HTC One S from a monthly £31. Needless to say, you can do the usual thing of paying more up front and less per month too.

The HTC One X weighs in with a meaty 4.7in display, quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 8MP camera, while the HTC One S is a tad smaller at 4.3in, with a dual-core Qualcomm processor and – again – an 8MP camera.

Phones 4u reckons the modest HTC One V will be along shortly, though it’s not quite sure of the date just yet.

£36pm...f*ck me. That makes your contract cost £864 over two years...that's a lot of money.

I guess you don't want to look at how much a 32 GB iPhone 4S costs before it's free then (HINT: It's £46 on Orange). Considering the free MediaLink, which really is worth £79, I'd say it's still a decent buy, although it wouldn't hurt to wait for the price to come down a bit.

ah yes, but you have to look a little at what thats compared to. as blizzard said, its still marginally cheaper than an iphone. on some networks 36pcm is still samsung galaxy s2 money.

tbh i thought itd be more. if you consider the phone is probably about 500, thats 364 for minutes/texts/data. 182ish a year, or about 15 quid a month plus spreading out the cost of the phone for you. works out fairly well if you dont have 500quid to spend.

You'd have to be clinically insane to buy an S2 for £36pm now. You can get the One X free with 600 mins, unltd texts and 750mb of internet for £31 per month with a possible £30 quidco from Mobile Phones Direct.

That works out (assuming the phone is worth £500) at £10 without quidco or £9 with quidco, per month. Now that seem like a decent deal to me.

Yup, that's a pretty good deal. It should be illegal to sell a phone with an 800x480 screen for that much :p
