HTC to launch another tablet in the UK

HTC to launch another tablet in the UKIt’s been a while since HTC released a tablet in the United Kingdoms. More than a year, in fact, since the 7in HTC Flyer (pictured) touched down on these shores.

However, an HTC spokesperson has confirmed that some sort of tablet-based successor is in the works, and will reach the UK.

That’s the story according to PC Advisor. The spokesperson would confirm only that the tablet will be released in the UK, and that it’ll boast a unique selling point – or “USP” if you prefer.

Specs and a release date for the unnamed HTC tablet are unknown, though it’s expected to run Jelly Bean (Android 4.1). Having said that, the HTC Flyer landed with Gingerbread (Android 2.3), so who knows?

Over in the US of A, they had the HTC Jetstream (nee Puccini), and something called the HTC Evo View 4G. Alas, the HTC Flyer remains the only HTC tablet released o’er here, and it was pretty much crippled by its ludicrous price tag.

It's going to be hard to follow up on such a resounding success.
