Another HTC One M8 question...

Okay, maybe I'm stupid:
The oh so super duper pull down notification area, right...
On 'my' M8 the Quicksettings are not there. I need to hit an extra icon.
Is that right? So: pull down notification bar, hit Quicksettings icon, hit settings icon...

How is that more convenient than going to Settings?

Sounds about right. Though you can always put a settings icon on your screen :/

Yep... Forgot to mention that.
It's a weird way of making use of that notification real estate...
I really thought I missed something.

For what it's worth it's not just a Sense thing, Google Play edition and (from my Nexus 4) native Android (certainly kit kat) is the same. Other versions of Android, well my memory aint what it used to be.
I should be Mrew47 by now :3

Touchwiz has a row of shortcuts right there in the notification bar.
Dito the Z1... I think.
I thought it was an Android thing... LOL Maemo had that

Yep, my missus has that on her SGS3. I think I may have had it as a modded rom feature on my Sensation. Makes sense really. Instead i've got 'Power Toggles' widget on my front screen for the most obvious settings (wi-fi, mobile data, GPS, Synch etc etc)
