The HTC One M8 isn't water or dustproof is it?

Weighing up the HTC One M8 versus the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2, one of the obvious shortfalls, I feel, is the lack of water and dust resistance.

Do you think that's a big deal? I've never had any trouble with water and smartphones (touch wood), so maybe it's just a Nice To Have?

HTC hasn't actually listed this phone as waterproof (or resistant) but see this video of a water test:

Actually did pretty good

Im on my 3rd smart phone and i've never had any issues with water or dust as of yet (touch wood) but from video below it seems to survive water pretty well.
