Last week the focus was largely on the Samsung Galaxy S6, but the HTC One M9 is hogging the limelight this week: it’s definitely launching on March 1, doesn’t have brackets in the name (woohoo!), and will carry the tagline “One Life”.
Carphone Warehouse has opened – not quite pre-orders, but – registrations for all the latest HTC One M9 developments.
The retailer asks you to submit your Title, Name, Mobile number, Email address, Postcode, Date of birth, and Current network.
In return, you get to “Stay on the ball with the latest from HTC. Leave your details with us, and we'll keep you posted on all the exciting news surrounding the new HTC One.”
Alongside the Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9 looks set to be one of the stars of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, which gets underway on March 2.
However, HTC and Samsung will launch their latest flagships the day before the conference opens properly, a classic big-player tactic.
Rumoured HTC One M9 specs include a 5in 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 20MP rear camera, 4MP UltraPixel front camera, Android Lollipop with Sense 7.0, and a 2,840mAh battery.
We may or may not meet a superior model in the HTC One M9 Plus, which is tipped to have a larger display (5.2in) and QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution.
