Specs for the latter have popped up in benchmark format, pretty much jiving with what we’ve been hearing of late. But hey, that’s not necessarily a bad thing!
Again the headline is that the HTC One M9 spec sheet includes a 5in 1080p display, which is technically the same as last year’s One M8, and just over half the number of pixels on the QHD Samsung Galaxy S6.
However, some consumers are perfectly happy with 1080p on a relatively small device - and all the battery-life benefits that come with it.
If you are desperate for a QHD HTC smartphone, keep your fingers crossed for the One M9 Plus this Sunday.
As for that 1080p HTC One M9, further specs are less reserved, including an octo-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB expandable storage (potentially 160GB total with microSD), 20MP rear camera, 4MP UltraPixel front camera, and Android Lollipop with Sense 7.0. Previous rumours suggest a meaty 2,840mAh battery. All in all: YES.
And that’s the HTC One M9. Despite the abundant leaks, the Taiwanese manufacturer says we have “NO IDEA” about Sunday’s launch event, but we’ll be the judge of that in around 48 hours’ time.
