Right, bear with us here. We’ve got the HTC 7 Pro here in the UK, yeah? It’s one of a small handful of Windows Phone 7 handsets, and has a sliding QWERTY keyboard. It arrived on Sprint in the States under the name HTC Arrive.
The HTC Arrive was also referred to by the codename Ruby when it was in development, but some new shots of the latter suggest that it’s not actually the same phone.
Pocketnow describes the shot of two HTC Rubys as “catching a glimpse of themselves in the reflective surface of an HTC Flyer tablet”. The pics are every bit as terrible as they sound.
What we can deduce from the shots is that the HTC Ruby seems to be a separate beast. It’s white, rounded, and doesn’t appear to have a sliding QWERTY.
At this early stage, it’s not even clear if the HTC Ruby runs Windows Phone 7.
More news as we get it. In the meantime, crank up your brightness and enjoy squinting at those leaked shots.
