HTC has hinted that it still has loads of phones up its sleeve for 2011, and the latest to leak is the Runnymede. What a terrible name.
Interestingly, other than adopting Android for the OS side of things, the HTC Runnymede supposedly has exactly the same specs as the rumoured WP7-running HTC Eternity.
The spec sheet mentions a 4.7in display, 1.5GHz single-core processor, 8MP/1.3MP camera combo, 768MB RAM, and Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) with Sense 3.5. Also, as part of HTC’s collaboration with Beats Audio, it’ll come bundled with headphones.
A leaked document suggests the HTC Runnymede will come in two flavours, namely 16 and 32GB. The former will cost £499 SIM free, or free on a £40PM 24M contract; the latter will set you back £530 sans SIM, or £40 on a £40PM 24M contract.
The HTC Runnymede is apparently expected in time for Santa. Is there a chance we might see the HTC Runnymede at HTC’s “what’s next” party later today? Stay tuned…
