HTC Sensation coming soon in Ice White

HTC Sensation coming soon in Ice WhiteWhite smartphones are all the rage these days. We’ve got the iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy Note, BlackBerry Bold Touch and loads more that I can’t recall at the moment.

Anyway, HTC is about to jump on board the white train (not a racist metaphor, I hasten to add) with an Ice White HTC Sensation.

Oddly enough, after cheering us up with the realisation that less is more, this’ll be a white HTC Sensation – that’s the original guy as opposed to the higher-specced HTC Sensation XE.

Unsurprisingly, the specs on the Ice White HTC Sensation will remain the same, so you’re looking at a 4.3in 540x960 display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor and an 8MP camera with 1080p video recording.

By the time it lands on March 1, the HTC Sensation in Ice White will be packed full of Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) goodness.

What do we think? A bit silly and a tad contradictory?

Earth shattering stuff. We can always rely on Mobot for cutting-edge news.

Hopefully this will drive down the cost of the SGS2 in white - I am wanting to get one for the wife.

Phones (hell, most small electronics) in white = beautiful.

My next phone will probably be white if the colour is available at launch.

And despite your interest in deep debate and earthshattering news, this is the only article you commented on?! :p

Sorry to disappoint but, I saw something about a white Sensation the other day so went looking and found Phones4U are already selling it. And on another site who posted this, the stories been updated as a P4U employee has said they've been selling it for a few months. I've never seen one but, did find out that it was available in the UK before it was "announced". I think the story was also updated to say it won't come preloaded with ICS but, will be updated to it, like the other Sensations.

I think you're right! Dialaphone sell it too so I think what's happened is it's exclusive to the P4U companies but only now is it coming out to other stores.

The specs are a little low compared to the rezound. Sensation's display is 540x960 compared to the rezound's 720x1280, small battery at 1520 compared to rezounds 1620(not significant), slower processor at 1.2GHz compared to 1.5GHz on the rezound...yet the sensation is slimmer at 11.3mm compared to rezound at 13.7 and comes with that thing called ICS...but is that worth taking cuts on other specs when the ICS update will eventually hit anyway? Just my thought :)

The Sensation is a fairly old phone anyway and is going to be replaced with something which has similar specs to the Rezound during the spring/ summer period.
