HTC teases something 'HUGE', One M9 Plus anyone?

HTC teases something 'HUGE', One M9 Plus anyone? At this stage we’d bet our mortgages/wives/girlfriends/JPEG collections on the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and HTC One M9 arriving at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 at the end of next week. There’s no longer even a shred of doubt.

However, we’re still not entirely sure about the rumoured HTC One M9 Plus; dare we get our hopes up? Well, HTC says something “HUGE” is coming, and the plain old One M9 at 5in ain’t that big.

Over on Twitter, it’s @HTCUSA doing a spot of (possible) HTC One M9 Plus teasing, with one of the most cryptic posts we’ve seen, well, ever. I’ve had a scout around the cyber-web, but I’m not sure if anyone’s been able to solve this yet.

Specifically, HTC USA Tweets: “Something HUGE is coming from HTC. Imagine [number][big thing] in space. And then [math term] that by [number]. #Madlib”. Zuh?

The Taiwanese manufacturer has already confirmed that the “new HTC One” is arriving next week, and Carphone Warehouse is already inviting registrations of interest.

So what is this mysterious “HUGE” thing, then? Taken literally, it could mean a phone larger than the HTC One M9 i.e. the One M9 Plus. Or, figuratively, it could be something HTC considers a game changer, like a piece of wearable tech.

For what it’s worth, the HTC One M9 has supposedly been benchmarked by CompuBench, revealing specs including a 5.1in QHD display (a little smaller than expected, and not all that "HUGE"), octa-core MediaTek processor (this could be a regional non-Qualcomm variant), 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, 20MP rear camera, and 13MP front camera (same as the HTC Desire Eye).

What do you reckon? Are you keeping your fingers crossed for an HTC One M9 Plus launch at MWC 2015, or is this a load of old rumour mill nonsense?
