So, the big Windows Phone push for HTC in 2011 had to be the HTC Titan. This giant smartphone brought us a nice huge screen, all the mod cons (whilst negating expandable memory) and, of course, Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango to its friends.)
But time waits for no Titan which is why we're about to see an even greater one announced: Unleash the Cracken - because the Titan 2 is set to be made rather official.
Actually, the HTC Titan won't be that much different to its predecessor: the only real difference to write home about is the camera which has been doubled from the original 8MP to a whopping 16MP with wide angle lens and dual LED flash. The screen will remain unchanged at 4.7-inches across with a single core 1.5GHz processor and 720p HD video recording.
Another slight upgrade is the data speeds as the HTC Titan 2 will be 4G enabled unlike the normal HTC Titan which only deals with HSPA. And now that you've heard that you know what's coming next, don't you? All this talk of 4G means that this little (or not so) gem is heading not for these shores... but over to Uncle Sam's with an AT&T flavour.
Hopefully we'll be in line not too long after. But don't count on it. Hopefully we'll at least see some variation on the theme on HTC's stand at Mobile World Congress.
