HTC Titan III in the pipeline?

HTC Titan III in the pipeline?Remember the HTC Titan II? The 4.7in beast was notable for having a 16MP camera, and for being the first Windows Phone device with LTE support.

Now there are rumours of a successor to the aforementioned 4.7in chap, appropriately named – you guessed it – the HTC Titan III.

The HTC Titan III has seemingly been leaked – accidentally? – by Microsoft’s Xbox Live Rewards,  the scheme that offers MS points in exchange for constructive criticism.

A recent survey asks: “On a scale of 1-5, where 1 means not excited at all and 5 means extremely excited, how excited would you be to receive each of the following smartphones as a holiday gift? If you already have one, please answer ‘I already own this.’”

There are five high-end smartphones on the list, namely the iPhone 5, Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung Galaxy S III, and finally the HTC Titan III. What the…?

Before Windows Phone 8 became a reality, there were rumours of three HTC devices rocking the spanking new OS. We had the HTC Rio (HTC 8S), HTC Accord (HTC 8X), and the HTC Zenith. The latter, of course, failed to materialise.

Rumoured HTC Zenith specs include(d) a 4.7in Super LCD 2 display, 8MP rear camera (bit of a drop from the HTC Titan II), NFC (Near Field Communication), 1GB of RAM, and a “beefy” dual-core processor.

Should we expect the HTC Zenith to pop up soon as the HTC Titan III? Sounds like it might be a goer.

Course 4.7" isn't especially titanic now and this should have been the 8X to make it comparable to the One X...
