In the name of actual Christ, it’s getting to the point where we could start a brand new sub-site entirely dedicated to HTC’s Android handset production line.
Earlier this week we met the quad-core HTC Edge, and yesterday I rambled about the leaked codename list for HTC smartphones. Today, it’s all about the HTC Ville.
The lowdown from BGR is that the HTC Ville is yet another top-of-the-range effort, with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from an early 2012 handset. BGR specifically mentions April, which would fit in nicely with a Mobile World Congress debut.
The HTC Ville reportedly has a 4.3in qHD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera, 1080p video capture, and a 1,650mAh battery. And don’t forget the now-obligatory Beats Audio action.
As if that wasn’t good enough, the HTC Ville will ship with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), and may well debut HTC Sense 4.0. Good times.
Finally, the HTC Ville will be less than 8mm thick, which is slimmer than the iPhone 4S but not quite as anorexic as the Motorola RAZR. I’m not a huge fan of super-slim smartphones. Just saying.
Amusingly, the HTC Ville has mistakenly been referred to as the HTC Vile by a number of sites. Go have a gander on Google. Great stuff.
