We first heard about the HTC Ville way back in November, and now the dual-core chap has been leaked once again – just a few weeks ahead of its expected Mobile World Congress unveiling.
As I’ve mentioned before, the HTC Ville is essentially a souped-up HTC Sensation XE. C’mon HTC; what happened to less is more? To be fair, I guess this guy has been in the pipeline for a few months already. You're forgiven.
The latest shots confirm that the HTC Ville grabs the baton from the HTC Sensation XE not only in terms of specs, but also in the looks department. Maybe they could call it the HTC Sensation XV.
Rumoured HTC Ville specs include a 4.3in Super AMOLED qHD display, dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 processor, 8MP rear camera and 3MP front shooter, 1080p video capture, 1,650mAh battery, and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) flavoured with HTC Sense 4.0.
We expect HTC will make a big song and dance about the HTC Ville’s thickness. At 8mm, it’s the Taiwanese manufacturer’s thinnest smartphone to date. Meh.
I’m more so looking forward to the quad-core HTC Edge (now rumoured to be codenamed the HTC Endeavour with a release title of HTC Supreme).
We’ll be in the frontlines at Mobile World Congress in just over two weeks.
